I have started, deleted, re-written and started again on this blog post for days. It is incredibly difficult to put into words what Emily and Brent’s wedding meant to Crystal and I. We used to work with Emily back in the day and we miss her sassy charm and her bright smile. Emily and Brent’s love for one another is so effortless and easygoing, just hanging around with these two for a day and getting a peek into their life and relationship was magical.
When Emily asked us to document her day, we felt honoured, and excited. The details of the wedding were fairly straightforward, they got ready at the The Comfort Inn, Cambridge, Ontario with a reveal to Emily’s father. You can see by the photos how proud he was and it in turn made Emily’s mom throw her arms around her daughter and wish her all the happiness in the world!
The ceremony was held at the heritage site of Ellis Chapel. It is the sweetest little church you ever saw! Officiant Robert Parr blessed the couple and married them in front of so many of their friends and family. It was a very emotional ceremony. Brents’ two little ones had tears in their eyes and it made the day feel even more special knowing how strongly the children felt about Emily. They both rushed to hug her as soon as they had the chance.
The reception was at The Old Marina Dockside at Puslinch Lake
I had never been there before but there was talk about Justin Bieber owning the large mansion across the lake. If that is true or not, I have no idea. Emily, true to her personality, she couldn’t leave out of the celebration birthday cakes for her grandmother and her brother-in-law. We ended the day with heart-felt speeches, a father and daughter song on the ukulele and dancing, lots of dancing!
